La Benda B-2960 Seat Uph Back Wood

La Benda B-2960 Seat Uph Back Wood

The La Benda B-2960 armchair combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design. It is made from beech wood (seat and backrest from plywood, other elements from solid wood) using a steam and pressure bending technology – a method developed in the 19th century and still used today in our factory in Jasienica.

The intricately bent beech frame creates a single, coherent line – from the front legs, through the armrests, to the backrest – and contrasts with the straight back legs. The upholstered seat increases comfort of use, while maintaining lightness and an elegant character of form.

The project was authored by Pedro Salgado, a Portuguese designer and graduate of Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Porto, who in his works combines a passion for traditional techniques with a modern approach to form. The La Benda armchair reflects his sensitivity to detail, proportions, and the emotions a piece of furniture can evoke.

The La Benda B-2960 model is perfect for home dining rooms and living rooms, as well as commercial spaces: cafes, restaurants, or hotel lobbies. Thanks to its lightweight yet durable construction, it is both aesthetic and practical, and can be easily stacked. It is also available with a plain seat.
