Aria Ottoman C-5340 Wooden Base

Aria Ottoman C-5340 Wooden Base

The Aria Ottoman C-5340 Base Wood is an elegant footrest designed as a natural complement to the Aria Ultra Lounge B-5340 armchair. Its softly upholstered seat, with a distinctively contoured, slightly raised form, provides comfortable leg support and promotes full relaxation. The wooden base lends lightness and stability to the whole, creating a visually cohesive structure.

Its simple, balanced form means the ottoman can also function as a standalone element – an extra seat or a subtle accent in a lounge area. The harmonious combination of wood and upholstery fits the aesthetic of the Aria collection, emphasizing its universal character and attention to detail.

The designer is Dario Polaco, known for his bold approach to form and material. In the Aria collection, his style is evident in the fluid lines, distinctive details, and the pursuit of creating furniture with a coherent, individual character.

Designer: Dario Polaco

Born in Argentina in 1981, he graduated with a degree in industrial design from the University of Buenos Aires. From the earliest years of his career, he had the opportunity to work on the design of a variety of products, such as home appliances, medical equipment, kitchenware, sportswear, and many others. This multifaceted experience provided him with extensive knowledge in the use of various materials and production techniques. However, it was furniture design that allowed him to fully unleash his creativity and develop a distinctive design language. His approach to design appears disobedient, questioning established archetypes and pushing the boundaries of material possibilities to achieve unexpected effects. His work has won numerous awards for innovation, including the Good Design 2016 distinction from the Argentine Ministry of Production, Best Design Project 2011 awarded by Innovadores de América, Best Innovative Entrepreneurship 2009 from Empretec, as well as first prize in industrial design in 2010 and 2008 as part of INNOVAR (Argentina’s National Innovation Award). His projects have also been featured in exhibitions at prestigious art museums in Argentina. He is considered one of the most promising Latin American designers. For Paged, he created the unique RONDA armchair.
