Aria Big B-5330 Double Wood Back Panel Base Wood

The Aria Big B-5330 Double Wood Back Panel Base Wood chair is a distinctive, comfortable interpretation of the Aria collection, where a larger form meets a strong structural accent. The enlarged seat and backrest provide even better support and a sense of freedom, while the soft, upholstered body envelops the user, emphasizing ergonomics and comfort. The characteristic line of the backrest seamlessly transitions into the armrests, creating a cohesive, elegant silhouette.

The double wooden backrest panel gives the furniture a more architectural character and highlights its construction. The combination of natural wood with upholstery introduces a clear material contrast that enriches the aesthetic and gives the whole a refined, modern expression. The wooden base completes the composition, ensuring stability and visual lightness.

Aria Big is a variant of the collection designed for greater comfort and a more distinctive presence in the interior. The version with a double wooden panel particularly highlights detail and construction, representing the most decisive interpretation of the form within the series.

The project was authored by Dario Polaco, who in the Aria collection combines soft, organic lines with a clear structural accent. His designs are based on working with proportion and detail, creating furniture with a modern and recognizable character.

Designer: Dario Polaco

He was born in Argentina in 1981 and graduated in industrial design from the University of Buenos Aires. From the earliest years of his career, he had the opportunity to work on the design of a variety of products, such as home appliances, medical equipment, kitchenware, sportswear, and many others. This multifaceted experience provided him with extensive knowledge in the use of various materials and production techniques. However, it was furniture design that allowed him to fully unleash his creativity and develop a distinctive design language. His approach to design appears disobedient, questioning established archetypes and pushing the boundaries of material possibilities to achieve unexpected results. His work has won numerous awards for innovation, including the Good Design 2016 distinction from the Argentine Ministry of Production, Best Design Project 2011 awarded by Innovadores de América, Best Innovative Entrepreneurship 2009 from Empretec, and the 1st prize in industrial design in 2010 and 2008 as part of INNOVAR (Argentina’s National Innovation Award). His projects have also been featured in exhibitions at prestigious art museums in Argentina. He is considered one of the most promising Latin American designers.
