The K2 B-2220 armchair is a combination of soft upholstery with a distinctive wooden form inspired by the aesthetics of mountain regions. The upholstered seat and backrest ensure high comfort of use, while the characteristic, bent plywood wreath embraces the silhouette, creating comfortable support and a fluid, harmonious line. Subtle transitions between elements emphasize refined detail and give the form an elegant, calm character.

The wooden base provides stability and emphasizes the natural expression of the furniture. The combination of soft upholstery with bent wood creates a balanced composition that fits perfectly both in home interiors – a living room or relaxation area – and in hotel spaces or lobbies, where comfort and aesthetics are important.

The K2 collection was created as a response to the need to create contemporary furniture inspired by mountain style. It combines traditional techniques with a modern approach to design, offering a timeless form and high quality of craftsmanship.

The author of the design is Tomek Rygalik / Studio Rygalik. The designer, known for skillfully combining function with a distinctive form, has created a collection that harmoniously blends local inspirations with modern design.

He is a designer, lecturer, curator, and Doctor of Arts. Born in Łódź in 1976, he studied architecture at the Łódź University of Technology. In 1999, he graduated from the industrial design department at Pratt Institute in New York. After graduation, he collaborated with many renowned design firms in the United States, serving clients such as Kodak, Polaroid, MTV, PerkinElmer, Dentsply, Unilever, and Dupont. After earning his master's degree from the Royal College of Art in London in 2005, he joined the RCA's research and development team. During the same period, he founded his own design studio, with offices in both London and Łódź. Since 2008, he has led a design studio at the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and in 2009, he permanently moved to Warsaw. Since 2012, he has been co-director of Studio Rygalik, which he founded with his partner, designer Gosia Rygalik.
His extensive collaborations include projects for recognized brands such as Moroso, Noti, Profim, Ideal Standard, Siemens, Heineken, and Ikea. He has served as creative director for leading Polish furniture brands, including Comforty and Paged. He undertakes numerous projects for cultural institutions, including the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the Grand Theatre - National Opera, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, BOZAR, Zachęta, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, the National Museum, and Polish Cultural Institutes. In 2011, he served as the architect for the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. For Paged, he created many collections, including LOF, BENKO, and K2.
