The Classic 1840 collection is a contemporary tribute to the tradition of bentwood furniture, a craft developed for over 140 years in our Jasienica factory. Its roots date back to the Thonet-Mundus brand, an international giant that revolutionized design at the beginning of the 20th century by introducing lightweight, elegant, and affordable bentwood furniture to the market.

The Classic A-1840 model is one of the most recognizable designs. Harmonious proportions, a light structure, and timeless form ensure that it has remained a symbol of Thonet style for generations. Made from beech wood, bent under the influence of steam and pressure, it captivates with its simplicity and precision of execution.

The version with a natural cane seat retains the characteristic bent backrest and subtle construction. The wickerwork is reinforced from underneath with a transparent mesh, which increases its durability and resistance to daily use.
